We are hoping to receive representatives from local ophthalmology services and this may provide an opportunity to meet and network with these reps and also with your colleagues across the NE London sector.

This year the whole Committee has served for a term of three years and some will be wishing to stand down, so seats will be up for election. The three clinical commissioning groups (CCGs) across Barking and Dagenham, Havering and Redbridge are about to introduce a prior approvals process for a number of procedures, including cataracts.

The NELLOC Chair was invited to attend an exclusive Parliamentary Reception hosted by Lord Holmes, the Optical Confederation and charity SeeAbility.
